123.Shaq Fu (handsomeboy2012)

If youre expecting an in-depth analysis of Shaq Fus mechanics, youve come to the wrong place! My best friend and I rented this one time just for the heck of it. His parents owned a video rental store, so he could rent stuff for free, so there was no risk if we got a bad game. The game has become infamous for being a terrible game, and while it certainly IS a bad game, I wouldnt say I hate it. Bad games are more enjoyable when you play together with a friend and you can just laugh at how stupid it is. It was like doing LPs before there were LPs. Perhaps the weirdest thing is how close both characters stand to each other before a round starts. Like, you dont even need to move in to hit the opponent. Also, Shaq is so tall that his attacks can literally whiff on characters even when theyre not ducking.

By the way, this game actually has a story mode! Shaq randomly stumbles upon a kung fu dojo with conveniently located Pepsi logos on the screen, and hes sent to save some random kid in an alternate dimension or something, which explains why all the other characters in this game arent fellow NBA stars. However, a fighting game with something like Shaq vs. Scottie Pippen wouldve been a lot more awesome because theres some novelty in that, at least. Shaqs early career choices outside of basketball were certainly strange. I remember watching Kazaam as a kid, too. I wonder which project he regrets more. Probably Kazaam because he actually had to be there in person to shoot that movie. Actually, wasnt Steel supposed to be even worse than Kazaam? Has he played a character other than himself on TV or in a movie since then?

Bonus Question: What is your least favorite fighting game?
