His dark materials trilogy (golden compass) is my favorite.

Two kids go on a quest to literally kill god. Turns out he's been dead for awhile, but they kill his replacement anyway.

Alice in wonderland is fucked. Basically drug ramblings of a child obsessed creeper. Walrus and the carpenter is really all you need to hear.

Narnia is supposed to be an allegory for Christianity, somehow. Which is... dark I guess lol in that he tried to sell them god subliminally
