I've had that idea before. Never made a real attempt, I suppose. Would one day a week be enough? That's all I could really spare, apart from my brother. Where would I volunteer? What are the kinds of places that could help me accomplish my goal? And if I'm going to volunteer just so I can try and meet a woman, doesn't that make me selfish?

You seem to be a compassionate person so I'd really suggest volunteering places particularly at events with pods of volunteers. There's so many I've seen hook up over the years.

Have you tried online dating with a wider radius? I noticed quite a few guys and gals on OkCupid that were looking for a very wide range.

I don't remember what my eHarmony radius was. My current Bumble radius is 30 miles. I can reach several cities in that radius. I can't imagine going any wider than that, because that's just asking for a long-distance relationship. Bad idea, when I hate driving with a passion.
