Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying. I've talked to girls before that I personally found unattractive. I was still willing to give them a chance. Girls aren't willing to do this however.

...You do realise the whole concept of the "friendzone" you complain about handily refutes this claim, right?

Or by "talked to girls" you meant tried to have sex with them? Are you saying you tried to have sex with unattractive girls? And no girls would try to have sex with a man they find unattractive?

I mean you're wrong no matter what your answer is but I AM curious in which way specifically you are wrong on this.

And no, I would not want to be friends with a girl that I wanted to date.

Yeah that's a pretty big mistake. If you plan to spend a lot of time with someone and later become intimate with them, prolly should be friend material too.

People keep thinking friends and relationships are mutually exclusive then go "OMG why do all these relationships end badly wtf"

Gee I wonder. Maybe don't try to forge a long term serious relationship with someone you wouldn't even be friends with.

The whole idea of this romanticised "soul mate" concept is basically, what it boils down to, is a best friend where a mutual sexual attraction is also shared. That's it.
