Never hired a mover in my life, and it honestly wasn't that bad. I moved into my first apartment with just the help of my parents and my brother. Loaded up 3 cars with all my stuffand picked up a few boxes on subsequent weekends back at my parents place.
When I was moving back, I borrowed a box truck from where I worked at the time. It was basically the size of a U-Haul. Fit all of my stuff in there in 1 trip. Had 3 friends help, but I honestly did 90% of the heavy lifting and it didn't take long because I packed everything in advance.
When I moved to a different country, I just packed everything I could fit into my SUV and left the rest at my parents place. IDK why people find moving so hard, especially if they only have an apartment. I guess I could see it if you're moving into a building that is cramped and doesn't have an elevator and you need to take furniture and things up several flights of stairs.
Wow you moved all the belongings of a single person two and a half times with the help of several people? ---
