I've never played the MH series before but will probably get this when I get bored of DBFZ The game scales to how many players are in the session, and theres systems in place to make things a little easier for solo players (your Palico can assist, and a second Palico can be found in each level for more assistance, but you can choose to leave your Palico behind if you want the challenge.) Most stuff can be soloed without much trouble, outside of maybe the apex predators. A lot of it depends on your build and your weapon.
