Dude's not only boring as hell, he's a hypocrite who doesn't deserve to own the name of something called a Pride Trooper, in fact, none of them do, through I guess that's kinda the point of them They did give Jiren a bit of development in the last few episodes. We know his backstory, his philosophy and his interactions with Vegeta and Toppo shed a little light on him as well.
