Twilight Princess is better only on a technical level. More polygons, higher resolution textures, yeah. Sure. It was made for much more powerful hardware, so that's to be expected. But the style is ugly as can be by design. The textures looks muddy, giving everything this smeared look, and the characters are all hideously deformed except for Link and couple others. They even managed to make the Gorons look bad, with their weird rock nipples and thongs. In the early days before release, they had a decent visual to go along with the Twilight, and then they decided to make it look like shit too. I guess it didn't look enough like diarrhea before the game released, and we just couldn't have that. The visual direction in Twilight Princess was terrible, and it was brought on by some fans bawling their eyes out because they didn't like the cartoon style of Wind Waker. That's sad. Wind Waker was a visual masterpiece. Twilight Princess is a shit show.

TPHD improved on it a bit, at least. I still prefer the visuals of Ocarina, Wind Waker, Skyward Sword, or Breath of the Wild to it any day of the week. Ugly duckling, I say.
