Proof of this 50% stat?

There really isnt except from sites like dogbites.org or whatever its called that collect data from erroneous sources like news sites rather than state by state data bases and the like without actually finding out the breed of the dog. Quite often attacks are mislabeled as pitbull attacks when its another breed of dog.

Ive found pit bulls to be the smartest, most loyal and affectionate breed Ive owned out of my almost 30 years of owning dogs. I actually find shephards, huskies and bulldogs to be more aggressive towards people. The Belgian Malinois, cane corso and presa canario to be the scariest breeds. Just for background I work in a dog based industry so its not simply anecdotal.
