How do you feel about your job beyond the fact that you're not helping people? Can you live with it, or are there other problems you haven't mentioned? It's worth pointing out that with that kind of money, you can afford to do a lot of charitable work you wouldn't be able to afford on 50k a year, especially if you're supporting a family at the same time. Even if you're not working as a correctional officer, there are other ways you can help people in prison. Many people struggle to reintegrate to society and with finding work, which can cause them to go back to a life of crime. Helping those people learn work skills and get jobs would help them a lot more, and you'd have a lot more freedom and flexibility than you would if you were just another cog in the system.
