Honestly that seems fair.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2017/04/14/somebody-just-put-a-price-tag-on-the-2016-election-its-a-doozy/?utm_term=.261fc1073fbe

The final price tag for the 2016 election is in: $6.5 billion for the presidential and congressional elections combined, according to campaign finance watchdog OpenSecrets.org.

The presidential contest primaries and all accounts for $2.4 billion of that total. The other $4 billion or so went to congressional races.

They can afford to pay their people, and the dems in particular should be willing to put the money where their #fightforfifteen mouths are.

I don't dispute that they're actually living up to what they preach for once.

I'm pointing out though that no union post-1955 has ever gone into an industry and made it work better than it had before.
