i just love how australia had one mass shooting and confiscated all the guns of the citizens in the country practically and have had no issues with gun violence since then

but in america we just cannot tolerate gun reform and just allow hundreds and thousands and tens of thousands of citizens a year just get blasted away by gun violence for no fucking reason

it's infuriating

I was thinking about Australia as well. I've discussed with a friend about comparing different countries and how its apple and oranges when it comes to policies and whatnot. Still, I can agree that despite whatever differences there are between said countries, certain policies can still be emulated to some degree and may potentially work.

Of course we wouldn't know unless we try, as my friend always suggest, but so many seems adamant against even trying. What I find interesting is how some refer to the Second Amendment as their only reasoning to keep guns. Some act as if the Amendments are written in stone. Granted it'll be bloody tough to re-chisel the Bill of Rights but the 18th Amendment was repealed decades ago with the 21st Amendment.
