In terms of safety and overall well-being, I can agree giving up some freedom is worth it, even if some argue they use said freedom for their own safety. What I meant by slippery slope is just the fear some might have of possibly giving up additional rights sometime down the road for problems that may or may not be related to safety. Is it unlikely to happen, probably. Is it impossible to happen, nothing is impossible in my opinion. It may very well just comes down to which is more problematic, keeping said Amendment(s) and the problems related to it or repealing said Amendment(s) and dealing with the aftermath. --- "You must gather your party before venturing forth" "Go for the eyes Boo!
