Then you should support studies that would do exactly that.

There are a lot of things between keep things as they are, when it's clearly not work, and taking away your guns.

The most likely of which would be a combination of improving knowledge of guns and improving our capacity to tackle mental health problems.

Banning guns isn't a feasible solution, even if we ignored how difficult it would be to change the the constitution on any of the first 10 which are held in a special esteem.

Plugging your ears and going lalalalal, that is the easiest path to what you don't want. Because if you don't work on a solution, the attempt will be made by non gun owners who do not care about your ability to own a gun and do not understand what someone who legally owns a gun is like.
