I don't watch a lot of tv so I don't know if this has been brought up yet.

But I think a good solution to this is to have police officers on school campuses all the time. I don't know how many. It would have to vary from school to school due sizes and populations.

I also think metal detectors should be installed in some public places particularly schools.

Both of my suggestions would be very costly, but there is a solution to that as well I think. Public schools can charge parents, guardians, or relatives a few dollars a month. I don't know how much it would cost to install metal detectors and have police officers on campus, but I think this would be a good idea.

I don't know about you but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Would those suggestions eliminate all school shootings from happening? No. But it would help reduce it quite a bit.

Will banning guns in the U.S. eliminate all school shootings from happening? Absolutely not. That's impossible. If someone with mental problems wants to kill people, they'll do it some how. If no guns are available they can create explosives, use fire, use household items like knives, or vehicles to name a few. Should all of those things be banned in the US as well? No.

I don't like how the media (from what I've seen) thinks banning guns is the only way to stop shootings from happening because it isn't. Again, it's impossible and they should figure out how to reduce it.
