They legally purchased the guns themselves, and in many cases had documented mental health problems or even criminal histories, but still managed to purchase guns legally.

Of the 10 most deadly shootings in America over the past 6 years, 9 were done with guns that were legally purchased by the perpetrator, the only one that was stolen from a relative was for Sandy Hook. None were illegally purchased.
