Went for dinner for both of our birthdays (we're 2 weeks apart) on the weekend in between, went for a short walk on the pier on the river of our city afterwards, just got down on one knee and asked the question. Didn't feel momentous or big or anything, just felt "right", you know? Like it was the logical next step for us. Most nervous I was was asking her parents permission, asking her was no sweat because I knew she'd say yes. --- Nice guy? I don't give a s*. Good father? F* you! Go home and play with your kids.
