Topic	Why werent black people excited for Blade?

Black Panther was created months before the political party was. He has nothing to do with the actual Black Panther Party. IIRC, Lee and Kirby named him after an all-black WWII squadron that called themselves "the Black Panthers." I didn't know that. I know there was a small window of time when the political party appeared that they changed the name of the character to avoid being associated with the party, and then changed it back because it didn't play well on the page. --- Whatever happened to standards?
