The Bill of Rights havent been screwed with for good reason: it sets a dangerous precedent. Alter the second? Lets change the first. Okay, now lets alter the fifth. And with identity politics driving our country it would cause a cluster fuck every time the next majority comes in. Interpretation by justices on the Supreme Court is one thing, but a total change would be disastrous. My friend, the 2nd amendment was put into place because the U.S. did not have a standing army at the time. Now that we have one, you can see why it might not be necessary...
