Can't blame that all on Jim, it was a two way street. They were both out of line and ultimately scummy in the situation. Pam was trying to have her cake and eat it too, and Jim was a douche for going after someone's fiance in such an immature and indirect way.

But that's also part of what I like about the show, neither Pam or Jim are perfect to a point where it brings some grounded realism to the show. Look how he just dumped the other girl (blanking on her name) for Pam. She was good to him, wasn't some over the top controlling crazy girlfriend like they could've made her. Which sometimes that's what happens in life. Not every break up is some toxic relationship or some one sided crazy person. Sometimes everyone involved is a good person, and sometimes you have to make choices like that.

Black and White good and bad is boring.
