YOUHAVENOHOPE posted...its not and if you think so you're just not aware enough to realize that this is, for many people in the modern era, the first movie where they can actually cosplay as the "correct" race/ethnicity Blade and Spawn already get cosplayed as a lot, but you have to admit that stuff is pretty deep and not very mainstream Also the Spawn movie was awful But this is pretty much the biggest film with a majority black cast that's just a part of the public consciousness, without the "it's a film for black people" idea added onto it and its the first time that many black people see the opportunity to nerd out about it i know you don't think of lord of the rings and harry potter as necessarily "white" cultural items, and that's because "white" is just "normal" if you're white (idk what race/ethnicity you are tc or person im quoting) so its just nice to see that normal for once is black, when everything else about society is telling you that being black is not okay or something or so i'd wager --- ...
