The 80GB PS3's have a virtual emulator inside of them to emulate the PS2 software. Meaning some PS2 and PS1 games had difficulty playing properly. 60GB PS3's had actual hardware, it played every game flawlessly. Did you see the photos? The model number on the back says CECH-A01 and manufactured November 2006.
