My thought process went "After I finish school, what do I have to look forward to?" -> "Well, I see that adults typically work full-time jobs until they retire around 65." -> "The amount of time spent at school/work will not decrease, so really you'll be dedicating a huge amount of your life just working, then you retire at an age too old to fully enjoy your freedom." It's why I'm very passionate about retiring early and it ranks among the highest of my goals.
