Not even close. Very few actually teach you basic life skills you need as an adult and you can't trust parents to impart that knowledge.


Like what? College teaches critical thinking and research skills which cover 90% of life.

Basic life things. Getting out a loan/credit card. Dealing with paying bills, getting a mortgage etc. All just some good things that could be lessons for people whose parents don't teach them these necessary things.


In architecture school they taught you how to design but not how to create real CDs and deal with code.

You have to learn that through internships and work experience. Definite dont really prepare you for the professional world without outside supplementing
