Though the artwork is small on this Atari 2600 game, it packs a powerful punch. There's a lot of elements here that invoke the dread of deep space, with the huge robotic phoenix rising above being the centerpiece of this feeling. The coloring on the smoke and the surrounding outer space scene looks insanely detailed, and sure these planets are little too close to each other, but this is pulp space so I can forgive it. There's also something about the Atari 2600 negative cover space that gives this an undeniable charm too.
