Unfortunately, the Hadith are a thing, are considered canonical by nearly every muslim, and is where the vast majority of the completely inhumane shit is. Even then, though, the difference between the bible and the quran is that in the bible Christians are told that terrible things will happen to their enemies. In the quran you're commanded to do terrible things to your enemies. Christians have a built in persecution complex: you're meant to suffer to earn heaven. Muslims have the opposite issue, in that their "revelations" won't happen until literally everyone in the world is a Muslim, so they're actively encouraged to convert.
