One argument that I think most KBM people can't argue against is that since the keyboard isn't pressure sensitive, there's no real way to adjust the amount of force you place and therefore things like movement are always gonna be a twitch fest.

I think the only time being able to very carefully select your movement speed has mattered to me was in Splinter Cell, and they got around that by using the mouse wheel to adjust move sensitivity. It had the added benefit of being a lot easier to control because it was a total pain to move at a very consistent speed with a controller for long periods of time.

And racing games I guess. Fine adjustments make driving in those a lot easier.
