Learn to read yourself. They said both parties are full of hypocrites, but assigned "fake supporters of free speech," specifically, to liberals.

Actually, the context pretty clearly indicates that I was saying that BOTH parties (or more specifically, both extremists sides of the ideological divide, of which parties are only the most blatant manifestation) are "fake supporters of free speech".

Both parties want to limit free speech. They just disagree over which speech needs to be protected at all costs and which speech needs to be treated like doubleplusungood thoughtcrime. And people who are more than willing to point out the sins of "the other side" while desperately trying to ignore the sins of their own are more part of the problem than anyone they're attempting to condemn.

But that's basically human nature. We're basically a species of hypocrites trapped in self-denial because it's hard-wired into our brains. It's why every institution, ideology, or philosophical model we attempt to construct always seems to wind up broken. Because WE are the ultimate fuck-ups.
