Corporations think they are the new world order. Even more nefarious and ambitious than governments and politicians. Hence they abuse their distance just outside the restrictions of the Constitution and human rights protections, such that people have few ways to defend against corporate oppression and tyranny.

Moreover, people see no problem abusing corporate power, since it's not government, thus such abuse is justified and irrevocable. Mobs will flock to whatever source of power they can in order in impose their will onto others. In this case, corporations and ideologists willingly cooperate to enforce their new world order. Unfortunately for the victims, such abuse against human rights will fall on deaf ears, for no one would or could care to come to their defense. Governments can't or won't do anything, being just outside of their jurisdiction; ideology zealots on the opposite aisle cheer on, if not participate in the assault on liberty; supporters of such victims are disarmed, emasculated, muted, rendering them defenseless.
