When adding new supports, please include the link if it's in front of you. It takes you two extra seconds and saves me a lot of extra work to fix things if the script picks your URL-less nomination as the one to use for the link.

WHAT'S NEW THIS YEAR

Absolutely nothing. We're doing things exactly as we did last year, which is pretty much identical to the way ed and lefty ran the contest in year's past, other than with a bracket size of 128. (In other words, no two-phase nominations.) The only exception is that I have requested that anyone nominating in the first 24 hours of the topic limit themselves to using just 5 of their nominations.

* 20 nominations per person, 5 of which can be doubled.
* Nominations are open now, thru Monday, March 12 (inclusive).
* At the time of this post, there are 42 songs with 4 nominations and 108 with 3.

NOMINATION FORMATTING

Please list your supports using the format "+ Game | Song | link"

Replace + with ++ for a double.
Replace + with - to unsupport a nomination.
Replace + with -- to unsupport a double.
Use just + to double an existing nomination.
Use just - to undouble back to a regular nomination.

For purposes of this discussion, a support and a nomination are the same thing.

Note that our nominations are counted automatically by a python script. Please use the correct formatting. The separator between the game, song, and youtube link is the "pipe" operator, usually located above the front-slash on most keyboards.

If a song has already been nominated, it is not necessary to include a link, but please try to match their naming conventions (unless they're wrong). If there are errors, please post and I will fix them. Updates will be made roughly every 50 posts. Once a page is finished, please leave error corrections to me.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF NOMINATIONS?

At the terminus of the nomination period, the top 128 songs will be entered into the bracket. There will no doubt be a tie unless precisely 128 songs have 4 nominations or more. Ties will be settled first by number of unique nominators (as opposed to doubles) and then by random selection. I may give preferential treatment to songs that got cut by the randomizer in the past.

After that, it will take me a few days to design the bracket. Random selection is not a good way to set up the tournament bracket. It may take me a few days to put it together. (Yeah, yeah, "we want the bracket," I know.) I'm hoping someone else will run a snubs tournament in the meanwhile, and perhaps we'll have a VGM guessing game or two run in Discord in the meanwhile.

Once the bracket is posted, there will be a several day wait while users get the opportunity to create their predictions bracket before the contest begins. At that point, two matches will be posted per day, with the winner chosen by board majority vote. Ties will result in a rematch.
