Scumbags try to manipulate and control, regardless of the outlet they use. Be it religion, politics, or whatever. Believing in God though, and having fellowship , is different entirely. It feels Great. Here's an example Atheist : life is nothing , im ugly and worthless , I hate everything Believer : life is a beautiful gift , I am created exactly as intended, I have inner peace and acceptance of what Is masticatingman posted... Youre god Nay, I am but men SpiralDrift posted... I'm agnostic and have never had a problem with drugs or alcohol. To me those sorts of things are more a matter of common sense. All in all, and at least in terms of the people I've met and will meet in life, I think it's more important for people to have that common sense than to believe in God. Because there are a lot of people that believe but are still shitty people who will fuck you over without thinking twice. No one has to believe. The question is, is your life philosophy working for you? If common sense agnosticism fills your soul, that's groovy. Some people want something more though , and it's out there if you look for it.
