And I notice you're only countering the last point - not the one about how complaining that we can't touch entitlement programs is EXACTLY how we're in the financial quagmire we're in right now.

$1.3 trillion omnibus spending package for fiscal 2018, including nearly $700 billion for the military and $591 billion for non-defense funding.

https://www.military.com/daily-news/2018/03/22/heres-what-military-gets-13-trillion-omnibus-spending-bill.html

tfw the defense budget makes up the majority of our government spending in an entire fiscal year,
can't believe those entitlement programs are sucking us dry ;_;

if only we could find a way to pay for them.

In one year.

It hasn't been more than 18% of total federal spending in over a decade previous.

It's still less than 20% of the national debt. Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, however, combine to make up 65% of the federal debt.

It literally is entitlement programs sucking us dry.

That doesn't make sense. George W. Bush doubled the debt from $5.8 trillion while Obama added $7.917 trillion.

Everything you mentioned existed previous to both their administrations. George W. Bush only managed to pass a Medicare plan.
