I was gonna say, he at least watches Fox News, you'd think he'd learn something but...

http://www.businessinsider.com/study-watching-fox-news-makes-you-less-informed-than-watching-no-news-at-all-2012-5

That article is super interesting BTW. I do think there are very few cable shows that really take the time to explain events and give good context, rather than going straight to talking heads and just talking the politics of such and such issue. But with Fox News the issue is just compounded with literal fake s***, and an emphasis on fear stories.

Honestly, having had to listen to Fox News while cooking due to Dad having it on full blast, I think I've gotten their propaganda method down.

Step 1. Say something sensationalist about Democrats
Step 2. Show a clip from Hillary or Bernie that isn't nearly as sensationalist as Step 1, but is similar enough that your followers will fill in the gaps themselves
Step 3. Affirm sensationalist statement
Step 4. Repeat with next story

EDIT: Sorry, news site, when your site contains 20+ ads on it, I'm not disabling my ad blocker for you.

I did catch the part where MSNBC is apparently as bad for you as Fox News and you know what? I can dig it. Never been a fan of it either.

...Which is why it confuses me when every Republican accuses me of religiously following it.

CNN is barely ahead of both as well. I think that medium isn't a good one for actually dissecting the news and learning something. It's all political operatives with agendas yelling at each other for the most part, though there are a few shows in particular on CNN and MSNBC that I think are worthwhile.

Oh I've had my problems with CNN for awhile now. As an example, trying to establish sympathy for a group of boys that gang-raped a girl, because their "lives got ruined".

So again, I'm not particularly surprised.

I wonder if there's a way to check if our local news station is owned by Sinclair...
