Idk how it happened, but people somehow politicized Star Wars because a character had purple hair and became desperately critical of a series that has always been shallow. But of course they maintain laser focus on the new movies.

This whole thing has seemed pretty silly to me. There's certainly valid criticism of the movie, off humor and length, primarily, but the rest seems to be poking holes in shit people would have completely accepted if a character didn't have purple hair, and if Luke didn't undergo character development.
