Rape is the most horrendous crime to inflict on a person, and should be punishable to the maximum sentence. You could argue that, but at least in murder the victim is dead. Living through rape, someone has to adjust themselves to feel comfortable with being touched again, feeling adequate to be loved by someone, not having nightmares about being raped and trying not to think about it. On top of that everyone involved in a raped persons life has to struggle with it too, whereas in most murders they at least get closure knowing the murderer was put away. There's never closure in rape. When someone is raped, all of their power and ability to choose is taken away from them. --- I've grown. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
