I'm not saying being against public funding for stadiums is stupid (because it's not), but I won't get into that right now. Anyway, some people were purposefully buying tickets for this weekends twins games for dirt cheap, knowing it would get delayed and they'd be able to transfer the tickets to a different game later on with nice summer weather.
