Trump lovers like Muffin and Trump and Gillespie read Chance's tweet as "black people should love Trump" and got a giant boner and raised him up as a king, as "one of the good blacks" who represents the death of SJWs everywhere. That is what he apologized for, and what he recanted. He took back absolutely nothing about his democrat statement, and actually went further on that point. But the Trump loving statists don't give a shit about that - they only care about a famous black guy loving Trump.
