The Disney movies blow the prequels out of the water, though so do a lot of a things, so that's not even praise. ...no I mean especially TLJ. It had prequel tier writing but without the actual worldbuilding and intrigue. There was almost zero intrigue in the prequels, but that's because the story is all laid out already. We know the main character is going to be Darth Vader, and we know everyone else is going to either have to die or go somewhere. As much as I hate prequels, that's the least of those movie's problems.
