Maybe this is again my ignorance, but I was under the impression that digital purchase licenses could still be revoked, and you still didn't technically own them, meaning it was no better than streaming. If i'm wrong about that, then this is less moronic and more just a shit deal. You don't technically own them in that you can't do whatever you want with them. For example, you often can't give them to other people. They generally can't be just taken away though. Being unable to share them is a bummer, but if that's all it is then I can at least understand.
