He didn't - it was just the mentos, but it looked suspicious as fuck. This strikes me as an understandable mistake tbh. Pulling the gun was perhaps unwarranted though either way. Edit: actually, he pulled the gun when the other guy reached into his pocket, having not said anything yet. It did look like the guy might have been pulling a gun, and given how nervous he was acting, the officer pulling his own gun in response made sense. This may have actually been a reasonable precaution. As such I think the only thing he did wrong was ordering the guy to put something back without first asking if he'd paid for it to begin with. --- "Men are liars. We'll lie about lying if we have to.
