I'm sorry, but after a season of shitty editing, watching Donathan and Laurel play up their role as swing votes between an alliance of the two obvious winners and an alliance of nobodies did not excite or intrigue me because we all fucking knew Chelsea was going home. Again, strategy and blindsides mean nothing when you have this "massive blindside" or Chelsea, who has been ignored all season, giving me no reason to care whether she stays or goes. The same will go with Sebastian and Angela. This is what happens when you base an entire show around strategy. Unless you have a cast that just does stupid shit non-stop, it's fucking boring. Because the ideal strategy in Survivor is to make an alliance and stick with that alliance, only flipping when you absolutely HAVE to. And that ideal strategy is BORING. But at least you can make an interesting television show by highlighting the personalities involved in the Pagonging so we care about the people getting voted out. But nope, gotta make every episode 80% strategy, even when it's a formulaic Pagonging. Which ruins actual interesting rounds. I mean, this round would still be super-annoying because they picked Chelsea over Wendell, but at least if the editors hadn't force-fed us the "Dom/Wendell/Don/Laurel" alliance since episode four, there might've been some suspense. --- Touch fuzzy.
