Yeah, I still lament the absence of spear animations. One of my favorite mods is Heavy Armory, which adds in weapon types like Spears, Glaives, Tridents, things like that into the various weapon grades (steel, glass, ebony, etc). They're great to have an add a ton of variety, but since they're stuck using the two-handed sword animation, there's a lot of room for improvement. Just imagine if the modder had those spear animations to work with. PC modders probably made their own of course, but since consoles can't have the script extender, I wouldn't know.
