Are walking in a group, one of them spots you behind them, talks to the others, and then sure enough a few moments later they're all sneaking in looks back at you?

I just experienced this. It made me kinda uncomfortable, like I was being judged, and I couldn't even tell whether it was negatively or positively. I'm a fairly decent looking guy, but maybe not typically handsome (I'm pale rather than tan, I have longer hair, and I'm not super muscular or anything like that, but I have a nice face I think).

I kinda felt paranoid they thought I was following them or something? But I was stuck walking behind them on the sidewalk so, it's not like I could've went anywhere else.
