Guns have been around forever, bullies have been around forever, and mentally disturbed people have been around forever. Yet for some reason, it's only been in the past decade or two that kids jump straight from "Somebody hurt my feelings!" to "Well, better go murder everybody". You never saw this kind of shit in the 80's....it's a byproduct of our current "I'm special" culture.

Its actually down since the 80s. You just didn't hear about it growing up because there was no social media and instant internet.
