Again this is down to personal preference although I'd think you would need to make sure you're in a solid relationship before you think about creating life. Although nothing is really a certainty I'd say 5 Years+ ideally. Simply because by that point you and the other person would probably have built a solid foundation enough to welcome another into your situation and most importantly provide for it. It also makes you feel like you should follow the social protocol of things.
