KCF0107 05/22/18 2:33:08 AM #31:	Second Round Bears MLB Chris Borland (34th overall) - 35, 30, 30, 29. Those are the ages of their top four LBs, none of whom are higher than 85. It seems inevitable that Borland will either be the successor to Morgan at MLB or start at retired OLB Rocky Calmus' old spot. In a division where the 2/3 of opposing offenses are nothing to write home about (sorry Nee and Tangicide), Borland has an excellent chance to make his mark early that will hopefully lead to a long, productive career as a Bear. 49ers FS Ha Ha Clinton-Dix (36th overall) - A long time ago (S3 to be exact), Scare let the Colts sign DT Darnell Dockett in RFA and received their 1st and 3rd round picks. He had back-to-back picks at 17 and 18, and I used those picks to form what I was hoping to be a formidable safety tandem in FS Will Herring and SS Bernard Pollard. The second FS taken in that draft was Tom Zbikowski of the Broncos (ouch). Herring has started 107 out of a possible 112 games, and has done an admirable if unspectacular job. However, it might be time for a change. For a team that finished with the #4 defense in the league, Clinton-Dix is in a great spot to either develop behind Herring or immediately start. Patriots WR Julian Edelman (51st overall) - It sounds to me that Jukkie might be shifting his offensive philosophy after trading away next season's first round pick to grab pocket passer Case Keenum. Moving from a scrambling QB to a pocket passer (whenever that may be) might lead to a less dynamic offense, but the passing yards tend to go up. That might be good news for not just former Top 10 pick WR Lance Leggett, but their second selection in the draft in Edelman. After dumping WR Cameron Colvin to the Vikings after he started 80 straight games for them, the #2 spot is now wide open for incumbents Matt Caddell, Eddie Royal, and the newcomer. Knowing Jukkie though, it is not a matter of if but when Edelman becomes the starter.
