| Topic | People give David Cage shit but he does a good job with those intense scenes |
| Darmik 05/28/18 1:47:53 AM #1: | - Waking up from a blackout and discovering you've just murdered a guy in a diner bathroom. What do you do? - Would you cut off a finger to save your son? What will you use to cut it off if so? - You're trapped in a psycho killers house. How will you escape? All of these scenes are incredibly good with player choice and making the player feel the tension. The problem with Cage is the stuff between those scenes and how they link together usually fall apart and he talks crap about emoshuns and art despite those things being the worst aspects of his games. He's good at writing bonkers scenarios that ask the player to solve or escape from. He'd probably do a much better job at making an anthology game that have several distinct scenario episodes that are 1-2 hours long tbh.
