I really like their soft serve ice cream. Read some horror stories online about people who worked there who talked about how vile the ice cream machines can get if they're not cleaned - like, everyone knows that fast food restaurants have questionable hygiene but what can happen to the ice cream machine is next-level disgusting. Decided to test this. Pulled up to the drive through and:

McDonalds Person #1: "Hi, how may I help you?"

Me: "Has the ice cream machine been cleaned recently?"

McDonalds Person #1: "What?"

Me: "Has the ice cream machine been cleaned recently?"

*cue 3 straight minutes of silencer interspersed with rummaging in the background*

McDonalds Person #2: "Hi, how may I help you?"

Me: "Has the ice cream machine been cleaned recently?"

McDonalds Person #2: "Yes, it has."

Me: "Alright, then I-"

McDonalds Person #2: "Hold on a moment."

*30 more seconds of silence and rummaging*

McDonalds Person #2: "The ice cream machine has not been cleaned recently."

Me: "...Okay."

I'm going to ask this question every time I go to McDonalds from now on. They are going to hate me and it will be fun.
