Mono-colour teams rely on drawing teams who lack the colour that can get WTA on them (you'd think everyone would run red/green/blue, but a surprising number of people don't... people play favourites sometimes!), and thus they will have WTA on 1-3 people on the enemy team and WTD against nobody. It's a pretty valid strategy if you actually care about defence teams, but there's an element of risk to it.
