I'd say 60s or 70s, in terms of what was predominantly popular and what I think of as "belonging" to that decade. Of course I listen to stuff that is newer than that, but most of the time I don't think "Oh, yep, this definitely reflects the 2010s".

I'd prefer to think of it as your "favorite" era of music than "the best" though. Whatever answer people choose is going to largely reflect what genres they personally like. Decades that were great for some genres were bad for others.

Can we all agree that the 2000s was the worst post-60s, though? Rock music was dominated by horrible "post-grunge" butt rock, and hip-hop was dominated by crunk/stunting.
